Business Development Representative

(Hybrid – CTC & Timberline)

$50,000 - $63,000 annually

The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving business growth and increasing brand awareness for both Cambridge Telephone Company and Timberline Title & Escrow. This hybrid full-time role divides time between the two organizations — developing strategic relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and representing both brands throughout the communities we serve.

Working closely with internal teams, this position will execute business development initiatives, strengthen community presence, and support customer acquisition efforts. The ideal candidate is an outgoing relationship builder who enjoys networking, identifying opportunities, and serving as a brand ambassador. The primary objective is to generate new customers and increase market penetration within our service territories.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development, Marketing & Brand Awareness

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities for both CTC and Timberline
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial customers, business owners, developers, real estate professionals, builders, and community leaders
  • Identify prospective customers and cultivate a strong pipeline of business opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to support revenue growth initiatives
  • Partner with internal and external marketing resources to develop and implement campaigns that increase brand awareness
  • Represent CTC and Timberline at community events, chamber activities, trade shows, networking functions, and industry meetings
  • Promote both organizations through sponsorships, community engagement, and strategic partnerships
  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
  • Maintain a positive and professional representation of the companies in the community
CTC Responsibilities
  • Conduct door-to-door sales activities throughout designated neighborhoods within our ILEC service area
  • Distribute door hangers and other marketing materials to targeted homes and businesses
  • Educate prospective customers about our internet, phone, and other telecommunications services
  • Generate new customer line activations by identifying opportunities and closing sales
  • Attend sales meetings and participate in product and sales training
  • Develop relationships with local businesses and organizations to generate new commercial opportunities
  • Increase awareness of CTC's business products and services through targeted outreach and community engagement
Timberline Title & Escrow Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with real estate agents, brokers, developers, builders, architects, and property managers
  • Identify new partnership opportunities that support Timberline's growth objectives
  • Increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads through networking and industry involvement
Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or relationship management
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area
  • Comfortable walking neighborhoods and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in telecommunications, technology, construction, real estate, or related industries
  • Existing relationships within the local business community
  • Active involvement in civic or professional organizations

Accounting & Human Resources Generalist


Job Type: Full-time, In office
Location: Cambridge, Idaho
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Job description:
The Accounting & HR Generalist is responsible for aiding the accounting department, ensuring that as a team you work together towards common goals as well as working independently as CTC’s main Human Resources contact. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is eager to contribute to an effective office. This person must communicate well, be able to collaborate with others but also be highly effective working independently.

Accounting & HR Generalist Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Daily processing and posting of customer payments
    • Weekly and monthly reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
    • Periodically processing accounts payable and payroll
    • Assist the accounting department with month end closing procedures
    • Monthly processing of company write-offs
    • Monthly reconciliation of multiple credit card accounts
    • USAC 499 reporting
    • Job posting, offer, and new hire onboarding
    • Maintaining employee personnel files
    • Managing employee relations while maintaining confidentiality
    • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
    • Supports supervisors in understanding human resource issues
    • Administers the employee benefit programs and oversees compliance (leaves administration, insurance, 401k)
    • Aiding insurance brokers and employees with benefit open enrollment
    • Maintaining accurate employee benefit records
    • Ensuring company-wide CPNI compliance
Accounting HR Generalist Requirements and Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting and human resource administration
    • Must demonstrate expertise in accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask simultaneously
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
Other Qualifications
    • This position requires the ability to work in office Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM
    • This position will require the passing of a pre-employment background check and a drug screening test
    • In addition to being able to sit for extended periods of time you may be required to perform physical demands as required, such as: bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, occasional crawling or lying on ground, lifting up to 75 lbs.
