Cambridge Telephone Company, Inc., CTC Telecom, Inc. is looking to fill the role of Internet Support Technician. CTC is an Idaho-based Telecommunications Carrier and ISP. This will be a full-time non-exempt position, and as such you will be eligible for fringe benefits in accordance with the company’s benefit plans.

As a Customer Support Technician your initial job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

CTC Internet Technical Support of Residential and VoIP Business systems and related networks. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to taking calls directly for Internet and installed VoIP CTC Business customers, following all public safety precautions and all prescribed safety procedures that pertain to the job and related equipment; to assure quality customer assistance and that proper procedures are followed.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Take calls from customers of Cambridge Telephone, CTC Telecom and Wilderness Wireless, both Business and Residential, and work to resolve internet connectivity and speed issues and assist when possible in network resolution issues
  • Provide Network Technical support as required. Escalate issues as needed to Engineering support staff to resolve problems in the network and resolve customer issues
  • Ensure that all data entries and notations in customer support tools are clearly defined and grammatically correct
  • Work with Field Service techs to support installations
  • Contact customers when necessary to follow up with and resolve wireless connection issues
  • Keep all work-related area clean and organized
  • Follow all inventory related procedures and processes to maintain proper records of all equipment as installed
  • Promote a quality working environment
  • Seek opportunities to improve the customer experience for fast and efficient wireless internet connections
  • Maintain insurable status on the company’s insurance policy
  • Assist in the marketing efforts as a representative of Cambridge Telephone Company, Inc., CTC Telecom, Inc., family of companies
  • Adhere to all scheduling as assigned
  • After-hours support of subscribers and network per schedule
  • Assure quality customer assistance and that proper procedures are followed
  • Be familiar with and follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Other job duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Internet Support experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You may be required to perform physical demands as required, such as bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, digging, pulling, occasionally crawling or lying on the ground and lifting up to 75 pounds.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires the ability to work a variable schedule
  • This position will require the passing of a pre-employment drug screening test
  • This position will require a pre-employment background check

Cambridge Telephone Company, Inc., CTC Telecom, Inc. is looking to fill the role of Plant & Records Technician. CTC is an Idaho-based Telecommunications Carrier and ISP. This will be a full-time non-exempt position, and as such you will be eligible for fringe benefits in accordance with the company’s benefit plans.

 As a Provisioning & Records Technician your initial job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Provision customer services including FTTH, DSL, Fixed Wireless, POTS
  • Plant equipment records management
  • Outside Plant mapping and records management
  • Inside plant mapping and records management
  • Assist Plant Engineering in drafting for new builds
  • Work with Project Manager and CO Technician to document plant and equipment growth
  • Create and maintain cut sheets for migrating facility from Copper to FTTH
  • Perform quality assurance analysis for various mapping and data records
  • Work with outside plant technicians to facilitate all facets of installation, maintenance, and repair of CTC Telecom, Cambridge Telephone, and Wilderness Wireless plant
  • Work with the Dispatch team to ensure all scheduled work is accounted for and ready for installation
  • Maintain database records
  • Promote a quality working environment
  • Assist in the Marketing efforts as a representative of Cambridge Telephone Company, Inc., and CTC Telecom, Inc.
  • Maintain insurable status on the company’s insurance policy
  • Assure quality customer assistance and that proper procedures are followed
  • Be familiar with and follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Other job duties as assigned
 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCad/Excel/Google Earth and SQL databases preferred but not required

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

  • This position will require the passing of a background check and a drug screening test
