Pre-Install Instructions

Thank you for choosing CTC Internet service and supporting a local Idaho business!

We’re here to make connecting to the internet as easy and streamlined as possible. Follow along below for a few tips on how to get your home ready for the installation day.

Pre-Install Checklist.

  1. Someone at least 18 years or older is present for the install. Technicians will ask for ID if there are any concerns.
  2. Pets are contained
  3. Furniture moved away from network outlets inside of the home.
  4. Download the CTC Command Center App
  5. Identify what you would like your WiFi Network name and password to be.
  6. Make sure there is access to the garage wall where the technician will install the equipment. Typically this is the wall containing the network panel or breaker box. Technicians will also need access to the outside of the house where the utilities come in.
  7. If we are converting your old copper connection to fiber, you may experience issues using a 3rd-party router or modem that was not designed for a fiber connection. We would recommend using the CTC WiFi router, which is included in your plan.
For Customers with Brand New Houses
  1. Be aware that we may be drilling holes into the garage to bring service in and mounting equipment to the garage wall.
  2. Make sure you have the keys to the new home and can let the technician inside the house.
  3. All flooring in a newly constructed home, included the garage, is completely finished.
