Dale and Cheryl Lyttle started Heartland Chimney Sweeps in 1983. We do chimney maintenance, stove sales and chimney installation. Son, Luke has been working since he was able. We're hard to miss at work dressed in our mad hatter hats and black clothes. After all this time, it still "soots" us. With Tim on board, it is close to the 3 amigos. Our service area is Midvale to Riggins and Valley County.

Wood heat is good heat. Naturally soot happens. Typically we advocate that people with wood systems be inspected and cleaned, if needed, every 3 to 5 cords of firewood. We have sold Lopi stoves for decades, and also sell Kuma stoves. Kuma stoves are built right here in Idaho. In fact last year Kuma stoves were featured in the White House symposium on American Made Products. Having a solid, well-built wood stove that will burn fuel efficiently for decades is a great plan. Heat is an important household item with our frigid Idaho winter season.

Scheduling is an important event in the progression of cleaning chimneys. Since smoke signals are hard at times to read, the telephone is an important piece of the puzzle. Cheryl fields a huge volume of calls and sifts it into a logical business pattern. Since we have changed our business line to CTC it has been more fun than in the past.
